For the next few hours
flox is performing a one time codebase migration which consolidates several existing repositories into a single repository.
This migration may temporarily cause package installation failures.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and will work hard to return things to proper working order as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
We’ve made progress on our migration and are pleased to announce that.
Commands such as
flox install and
flox search should behave normally again.
There are remaining migration tasks still in progress, which are expected to be complete by the end of the week. Our expectation is that the remaining tasks should not cause further outages; but we appreciate your patience in the event that similar issues arise. If they do, we’ll be sure to provide updates in this thread.
For additional context this migration aims to move previously “private”/internal code-bases and development processes into the open to make it easier for users and the community to contribute. We’re excited to open up our development to collaborate with users, and hope to see y’all over on GitHub - flox/flox: Harness the power of Nix in the future!
